Independent Research & Evaluation Consultant
I help universities, funders, charities and delivery organisations design and deliver evaluation and research that hold up to scrutiny and inform real decisions, from a single focused piece of work to a multi-year national programme.
Over 25 years' experience, more than 70 commissioned research and evaluation projects and a track record with national funders including the Department for Education, Education Endowment Foundation, Research England and Advance HE.
I'm Lucy, a senior research and evaluation consultant working with universities, national funders, charities and third-sector delivery organisations. My background spans higher education, schools and third-sector programmes, with particular depth in widening participation and equality, diversity and inclusion work.
I bring structure to complex, multi-partner programmes: developing Theories of Change and logic models that hold up under scrutiny, designing mixed-methods research and managing data governance and GDPR compliance across partnerships. I take on work at any scale, from a single focused deliverable to leading a multi-year national programme.
I hold Associate roles at Advance HE, The Brilliant Club, Skills for Inclusion and CooperGibson Consulting, and I'm a founding member of the Evaluation Collective. I'm fully covered with £1m Professional Indemnity and £2m Public and Products Liability insurance, certificates available on request.
